Cutting-edge label Romance Was Born (run by Australian design duo Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales) set the bar high on Day One of Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Sydney’s Walsh Bay. The superhero-themed collection abounded with garish comic book colours, zigzag prints, models with David-Bowie-inspired fire red hair, and the A-list front row that comes with it (actresses Miranda Otto and Sophie Low, and designer Jenny Kee).
